Welcome to Abilities Ignite Pakistan, where we are on a mission to empower parents and caregivers of children with learning disabilities. Our services encompass personalized assessments, parental counseling, and hands-on Parent Portage Programs, equipping families with the tools to nurture their child's unique potential. Collaborating with schools and providing specialized training sessions, we strive to create inclusive learning environments and support professionals in the field of inclusive education.

Founded by Qumber Abidi, Abilities Ignite Pakistan is guided by a leadership team with a wealth of experience in the field of inclusive education. Qumber Abidi, with a decade of expertise, including significant involvement in STEAM Pakistan, brings a unique perspective to our mission. As part of STEAM Pakistan, he played a crucial role in equipping and empowering government schools to deliver world-class STEAM education. This initiative, driven by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT), aims to enhance access to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics education, especially for secondary school-aged girls in Pakistan.

Directors Mrs. Qamar Zahra and Mrs. Yasmeen Zaidi complement this leadership with their extensive experience. Mrs. Zahra, with 33 years in education, has actively contributed to inclusive education and community-based rehabilitation programs. Mrs. Zaidi, an invaluable director, brings over 18 commendable years of teaching junior-grade students. Together, they form a transformative force dedicated to celebrating the unique potential of every child and fostering a community of understanding and inclusivity. Our Directors

The visionary force behind Abilities Ignite Pakistan, Mrs. Qamar Zahra, brings a rich tapestry of 33 years dedicated to education, particularly focusing on students with learning disabilities and neurodivergence. Her extensive training in Inclusive Education and active involvement in the field have shaped her passion for creating a society where every child is embraced with understanding. Mrs. Zahra's commitment goes beyond traditional education – she has actively contributed to a Community Based Rehabilitation Program, aiming to rehabilitate students with learning difficulties within their communities. This initiative also involved enhancing the skills of teachers and trainers to better understand and support these students. Additionally, Mrs. Zahra has been instrumental in the Early Detection of Cognitive, Language, and Motor Delays in children, offering assistance to parents and tutors through the Parent Portage Program. Her dedication not only shapes but defines our commitment to providing culturally sensitive programs and dispelling misconceptions. Under Mrs. Zahra's guidance, Abilities Ignite Pakistan is more than a startup; it is a transformative force dedicated to celebrating the unique potential of every child.

Mrs. Qamar Zahra

An indispensable pillar at Abilities Ignite Pakistan, Mrs. Yasmeen Zaidi stands as a seasoned expert in inclusive education. Graduating from the University of Karachi in 1992, she embarked on a transformative journey by joining the pioneering Project Pakistani Model of Portage Guide to Early Education under the mentorship of Ms. Munawar Fatima, Project Director. This groundbreaking initiative, established in collaboration with UNICEF and the Ministry of Special Education and Social Welfare, marked the genesis of Mrs. Zaidi's impactful career. She further enriched her experience as a dedicated kindergarten teacher at the esteemed CAS School in DHA, Karachi. Building on her commitment to excellence, Mrs. Zaidi continued to elevate the standards of education by joining the Karachi Grammar School Junior Section in Boat Basin, Clifton, Karachi, in 2005. With over 18 commendable years teaching junior-grade students, her passion for inclusive education extends beyond the classroom, reflecting a profound commitment to a future where every child, regardless of abilities, is warmly embraced and empowered. Mrs. Zaidi's extensive experience and multifaceted contributions form a cornerstone for Abilities Ignite Pakistan's mission to create an educational landscape that is truly inclusive and empowering for every child.
